Caring for Your LG Outdoor Furniture

For best results, we recommend storing LG Outdoor furniture indoors during the winter months wherever possible. If indoor storage is not available, always use a high-quality breathable furniture cover. Non-breathable, fully waterproof plastic covers are not recommended for natural materials such as wood, rope, or ceramic, as they can trap moisture and lead to mould or mildew build-up beneath the cover.

Keeping Your Weave Looking Its Best

LG Outdoor’s synthetic weave is manufactured exclusively in Vietnam, a country with a long heritage of expert weaving techniques. Made from non-toxic PE (polyethylene), the weave is designed to resist saltwater, chlorine, rain, and UV exposure, making it highly durable and easy to maintain.

To clean, simply use warm, mild soapy water and rinse thoroughly. For intricate or hard-to-reach areas, a small soft brush (such as a toothbrush) can be used. At the end of its lifespan, LG Outdoor weave is fully recyclable, making it an environmentally responsible choice.

Caring for Rope Furniture

LG Outdoor rope furniture is also crafted exclusively in Vietnam using marine-grade, double-braided spun polyester rope. This material is engineered to withstand outdoor conditions, including exposure to UV light, rain, saltwater, and chlorine.

Routine cleaning is simple—use mild soapy water and allow the rope to dry naturally. For detailed areas, use a small soft brush. When storing rope furniture for extended periods, always clean and dry thoroughly before covering with a breathable LG Outdoor furniture cover or placing in a well-ventilated shed or storage area.

Caring for Hanoi Wood

LG Outdoor Hanoi Wood furniture is made from FSC®-certified brushed Acacia or Eucalyptus wood, sourced from responsibly managed forests in Vietnam. Designed with an authentic distressed finish, the wood will naturally age over time, developing a colour change and, occasionally, surface cracks. These changes are normal and do not affect the structural integrity of the furniture.

Promptly remove any spills to avoid staining, and never use abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, or pressure washers, as these can damage the surface. All LG Outdoor wooden furniture receives a protective UV oil coating before leaving the factory.

Recommended Maintenance (twice yearly):

Clean using warm, mild soapy water and allow to dry fully

Apply a thin layer of UV Protection Oil with a clean, dry cloth

Leave to dry for a minimum of 8 hours before use

Do not use teak oil on Hanoi Wood.
When storing for long periods, clean and dry thoroughly before covering with a breathable furniture cover or placing in a well-ventilated storage area.

Cast Aluminium Care

LG Outdoor cast aluminium furniture is naturally rust-resistant and finished with a durable powder coating for added protection against wear and scratching. It can be left outdoors year-round.

To maintain its appearance, clean regularly with mild soapy water and rinse well. Periodically hosing with fresh water helps remove airborne contaminants, and occasional use of a mild wax polish will help preserve the original finish.

Metal Frame Care

LG Outdoor metal frames are treated using an advanced EDP (Electro Deposited Primer) process to ensure long-term durability:

Acid dipping removes impurities and helps prevent corrosion

Electrostatic priming creates an even, protective coating

High-temperature powder coating provides the final colour and protective layer

In cooler or damp conditions, surface mildew may develop over time—this is normal and easily removed using warm soapy water.

Ceramic Tabletops

All LG Outdoor ceramic tables are pre-treated with a water-resistant coating to protect against moisture, staining, and frost (down to -10°C). To maintain longevity, reapply a suitable protective ceramic coating twice a year.

Garden mildew may appear in damp conditions and can be easily removed with mild soapy water.

Textilene Care

LG Outdoor Textilene fabric is easy to maintain—clean with mild soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry naturally. As with other outdoor materials, occasional mildew may appear and can be removed with gentle cleaning.

Cushion Care

We recommend bringing cushions indoors during wet weather to preserve fabric appearance. Standard cushion covers are removable and machine washable up to 40°C.
Eden season-proof cushions are spot clean only and not suitable for machine washing.

General Care Recommendations

Always use mild soapy water and a soft cloth for cleaning

Avoid abrasive, acidic, or caustic cleaning products

Clean spills immediately by blotting—do not rub

Use table mats and coasters to prevent surface scratches

Before winter storage, ensure any water trapped inside frame tubes has fully drained

If furniture cannot be stored indoors, always use a breathable furniture cover to protect against rain, frost, UV exposure, tree sap, bird droppings, and debris

Following these care guidelines will help maintain the appearance, performance, and longevity of your LG Outdoor furniture for years to come.
